The WordPress plugin edits and fixes your own site from inside WP Admin — publishing, auto-applying audit fixes, live content scoring. The Chrome extension is the outward-facing counterpart: it reads whatever page or SERP you have open, including competitor sites and Google results, and sends findings back to your workspace. Most SearchChamp customers on WordPress use both — the plugin for their own site, the extension for research anywhere else.

Does the extension work on mobile browsers?

No — Chrome extensions in general don't run on Chrome for Android or iOS; that's a platform limitation, not something specific to SearchChamp. The dashboard and every SearchChamp feature the extension surfaces are fully usable on mobile web, just without the in-browser overlay.

A full on-page audit (title, meta, H1-H6, schema, alt text, links, word count, readability), live SERP analysis with domain authority and backlinks, keyword difficulty and volume on any word, and AI-Overview citation status — all rendered in your sidebar on any page.

It pulls live at query time from the same keyword data engine SearchChamp Solo and Business already use — not a cached or stale snapshot. Volume, difficulty, and AI-Overview presence reflect the current SERP the moment you click the icon.

Which browsers will it support?

Any Chromium-based browser — Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, Vivaldi, and Opera. A Firefox version is on the roadmap but not yet scheduled.

Does the extension send my browsing history to SearchChamp?

No. Zero browsing history is sent. The extension queries only the pages you explicitly open and inspect, and a page is never saved to your account unless you explicitly send it to a project.

Every seat on your SearchChamp workspace can sign in to the extension with their own account — findings any team member sends land in the same shared project. It isn't a single-user license; it follows your plan's normal seat allowance.
