1. What are cookies?

In plain terms: we use a small number of cookies to keep you logged in and browser storage to remember your settings. We do not run advertising trackers, we do not build behavioural profiles, and we do not currently set any analytics cookies. If that ever changes, we will ask for your consent first.

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser when you visit. They help the site remember information about your visit, such as your login session, preferences, and settings, so that the experience is smoother on subsequent visits.

In addition to traditional cookies, we also use related technologies including local storage and session storage. Collectively, this policy refers to all these technologies as “cookies”.

2. How we use cookies

SearchChamp uses cookies for the following purposes:

• Authentication: to keep you logged in to your account across page loads and to protect your session from session-fixation attacks.
• Preferences: to remember your account settings such as theme, date-format preferences, and notification preferences.
• Security: to detect and prevent fraudulent activity, cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks, and brute-force login attempts.
• Payment processing: Stripe places cookies to facilitate secure payment flows and prevent card fraud.

We do not currently use cookies for analytics or advertising. If we introduce analytics cookies on our marketing pages in the future, they will be consent-based: we will ask before setting them.

3. Types of cookies we use

3.1 Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are essential for the platform to function. Without them, core features such as login, billing, and AI agent jobs would not work. They do not require your consent and cannot be disabled while you use the platform.

3.2 Functional browser storage

We store interface preferences in your browser’s local storage (not cookies): appearance (light/dark), colour theme, and similar UI settings. This data never leaves your browser, persists until you clear your browser data, and can be removed at any time via your browser settings.

3.3 Analytics cookies

We do not currently set any analytics cookies — on our marketing pages or in the product. If we introduce privacy-respecting analytics on the marketing site in the future, we will update this policy first and request your consent before any analytics cookie is set.

4. Third-party cookies

Some cookies are placed by third-party services that appear on our pages. We have no direct control over these cookies; they are governed by the privacy policies of the respective third parties.

4.1 Stripe

When you access billing or payment pages, Stripe sets cookies to prevent fraud and to maintain the security of payment flows. These are strictly necessary for payment processing. See Stripe’s Privacy Policy for details.

4.2 YouTube / Loom / Vimeo (embedded videos)

Some marketing pages embed tutorial videos hosted on YouTube, Loom, or Vimeo. If you play a video, those platforms may set their own cookies. We use “privacy-enhanced mode” for YouTube embeds where available, but cannot control all cookies placed by those services.

5. Managing your preferences

Consent: we currently set only strictly necessary cookies, which do not require consent. If we introduce any non-essential (e.g. analytics) cookies in the future, we will present a consent choice before setting them and provide a way to change your preferences at any time.

Browser settings: most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies through their settings. The following links explain how to do this in common browsers:

Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent the platform from functioning correctly.

Do Not Track: some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. Because we set no analytics or tracking cookies, there is no tracking to disable; we do not otherwise alter behaviour in response to the signal.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in our cookie usage or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the “Effective” date and, where any new non-essential cookies are involved, request your consent before setting them.
