How it works

Install, connect, and start fixing issues in under 5 minutes

01
Download and install the plugin
Download the plugin from Integrations → WordPress in your SearchChamp dashboard, then upload it under WP Admin → Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin → Activate. No FTP required — the whole install runs through the standard WordPress uploader, so it works the same way on managed hosts (WP Engine, Kinsta, Pressable) as it does on a self-managed server.
02
Connect it to your SearchChamp workspace
Generate an API key from the same Integrations → WordPress screen, then paste the API URL and key into WordPress under Settings → SearchChamp and save. SearchChamp confirms the connection and links the site to your workspace within seconds. Agencies connecting several client sites repeat this once per site — each gets its own key and its own project, so client data never mixes.
03
Review the fix queue
The plugin surfaces your top audit issues with 1-click Apply Fix actions, ranked by keyword impact so you fix what moves the needle first. SearchChamp writes the approved change back to your site through the connection, and logs the previous value in Fix History so nothing you approve is a one-way door.
04
Score new content before publishing
Open any post in Gutenberg or the Classic Editor. The SearchChamp panel shows a live content score and search-result preview, and can generate your focus keyword, meta title, and meta description with AI — save when it’s ready. The score updates as you type, so you catch a thin section or a missing keyword before you hit publish, not after.
What’s included

Everything the plugin does.

The SearchChamp WordPress plugin ships as part of your plan from day one — publish, auto-apply fixes, and see AI-search visibility without leaving WP Admin. It runs alongside whatever SEO plugin you already have installed, so nothing here asks you to rip anything out to get started.

Publish to WordPress

The Content Writer pushes finished articles — title, body, sideloaded images, and SEO meta — straight to your WordPress site.

Auto-apply audit fixes

Approve a Site Audit recommendation and SearchChamp writes the fix back to your site through the connection. Every change is logged in Fix History with its previous value, so you can undo it anytime.

Push your llms.txt

SearchChamp generates and pushes your llms.txt, so AI crawlers find your canonical content map.

Image sideload

Generated hero and inline images are uploaded into your WordPress media library alongside each published article.

On-page SEO panel

The SearchChamp panel in Gutenberg and the Classic Editor shows a live content score and search-result preview, plus one-click AI generation for your focus keyword, meta title, and meta description.

A column in your Posts list

See meta completeness — focus keyword, meta title, meta description — for every post and page at a glance, sortable across your whole site.

Yoast / Rank Math / AIOSEO / SEOPress auto-detect

On activation, the plugin detects your existing SEO plugin and writes to its own fields instead of a competing title or canonical tag — zero conflicts.

AI-search visibility

A WP Admin widget and a dedicated page show whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, and Grok mention or cite your site, plus a log of AI-crawler hits on your pages.

How it compares

SearchChamp vs. Yoast / Rank Math / AIOSEO.

These aren’t rivals to replace — they own per-post metadata and SearchChamp defers to them there. The table below is honest about where each layer actually operates.

AI-search visibility

See when ChatGPT and Perplexity cite your WordPress content.

A WP Admin widget and a dedicated page show whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, and Grok mention or cite your site — plus a log of AI-crawler hits (GPTBot and friends) on your pages. For example, publish a guide through the plugin, then watch the widget for the first citation: it records which engine cited you, the exact query context, and whether the citation held on a re-check the following week. No competitor plugin in this comparison surfaces AI-engine citations inside WordPress at all — it’s unique to SearchChamp today.

Frequently asked

WordPress plugin — common questions

It connects your WordPress site to SearchChamp: publish finished articles with images and SEO meta, auto-apply approved Site Audit fixes back to your site, set your focus keyword and meta fields (with AI generation) and see a live content score right inside Gutenberg or the Classic Editor, detect and defer to your existing SEO plugin, push your llms.txt, and see AI-search visibility across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, and Grok — all included with SearchChamp, not a future add-on.
Yes. Generate an API key from Integrations → WordPress in your SearchChamp dashboard, download the plugin, and upload it under WP Admin → Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin → Activate. Paste the API URL and key into WordPress under Settings → SearchChamp and you're connected in minutes.
It depends what you need. Yoast, Rank Math, AIOSEO, and SEOPress are strong at per-post metadata — title tags, canonicals, readability — and SearchChamp doesn't try to replace that layer. SearchChamp is the platform layer those plugins don't cover: site-wide auditing that writes fixes back to your posts, daily rank tracking, AI-search visibility across all eight engines, and an AI Writer that publishes straight to WordPress. Most sites run SearchChamp alongside their existing metadata plugin rather than swapping it out.
