Built for B2B SaaS

Win the ChatGPT recommendation slot for your category.

B2B buyers now ask an assistant which tool to use before they ever open Google — and the shortlist it gives them is decided before your site gets a visit. SearchChamp tracks whether you are on that shortlist across the major AI engines, finds the bottom-of-funnel 'best X' and 'X alternative' queries your category actually converts on, and writes content built to rank in search results and be citable in AI answers at the same time.

B2B keyword strategy

Surface every 'best X' and 'X alternative' query in your category.

Discover bottom-of-funnel keywords that convert, then cluster them by buying stage — category, comparison, use-case, integration — and map each cluster to the page that should win it. A worked example: a project-management SaaS gets 'best project management software' (category, high volume, brutal difficulty), 'asana alternative' (comparison, lower volume, far higher intent), 'project management for agencies' (use-case), and 'project management slack integration' (integration). Those four belong on four different pages, and treating them as one keyword list is the most common reason a SaaS site ranks for its own brand and nothing else. Difficulty is scored against your domain, so the cluster you are told to chase is one you can realistically win.

  • Cluster by intent: BoFU comparisons, feature searches, use-case pages

AI citations for SaaS

Know when ChatGPT recommends a competitor — and fix it.

B2B buyers increasingly ask AI engines what the best tool for a job is before Googling, and SearchChamp tracks your citation rate for category and comparison queries across all eight engines so you can see the gap and brief the fix. Reclaiming a slot follows a repeatable order: find the query where a rival is named and you are not, open the competitor page the engine actually cited, and check what it answers that you do not — usually pricing stated plainly, an honest limitations section, or a comparison the engine can lift in one piece. Fix that page first. Then publish llms.txt so engines get a clean, structured account of what you do rather than inferring it from navigation. Then re-check the same query on the next run and see whether the citation moved. The point is that each step is verifiable, rather than publishing and hoping.

  • Track citation share for category queries across all 8 AI engines
  • See which competitor pages earn citations you should own
  • Regression alerts when you lose a recommendation slot
  • Auto-generate your llms.txt to tell AI engines who you are

SearchChamp is the first SEO tool that didn't pretend AI search was a side-quest — we can finally see which AI engines cite us and fix the gaps from one dashboard.

We put SearchChamp in front of a client who'd dropped out of ChatGPT answers. Two audit fixes later they were cited again, and we kept the retainer.

I check one number every week — our share of voice across the eight AI engines. It went from invisible to top-three on our buyer prompts in a quarter.

I draft against both the top-ranking pages and what the AI engines actually quote. Three of our guides got picked back up by Perplexity within a month.

Switching felt like an upgrade, not a downgrade. Rank tracking across Google, Bing and the AI Overviews in one view instead of three dashboards.

I almost renewed Ahrefs out of habit. SearchChamp gives me the same data engine plus AI visibility for less, so I made the switch and didn't look back.

I moved every client off their legacy SEO suite. Same keyword data backbone I trusted, plus AI-engine tracking those tools still don't have.

The weekly AI summary tells me exactly what moved across Google and the AI engines. I stopped building that report by hand.

Questions from B2B SaaS teams

It is SEO where the valuable queries are small. A consumer brand chases volume; a B2B SaaS wins on a few hundred searches a month for 'best {category} software' and '{competitor} alternative', because the people typing those are mid-evaluation with budget. That changes the whole approach — comparison and alternative pages matter more than blog volume, and being named in an AI answer for a category question can be worth more than a #1 ranking on a broad term nobody buys from.
It is worth it for a partly different reason now. Answer engines overwhelmingly build their shortlists from pages that already rank well organically, so ranking is increasingly the entry fee for being cited rather than the end goal itself. The honest framing: classic SEO still brings the clicks, and it is now also the mechanism by which an assistant learns you exist. Doing neither is the only losing option.
There is no submission form and anyone selling you one is guessing. What actually moves it: be reachable by the engines' crawlers, answer the category and comparison questions plainly on pages they can extract, state pricing and limitations rather than hiding them, and earn presence on the third-party sources engines lean on — review sites, roundups, credible discussion. Then measure. SearchChamp tracks whether your citation rate for those queries moves, which is the only way to tell whether any of it worked.
