SearchChamp vs Brandlight
Brandlight is an enterprise AI-visibility measurement platform: it tells large brands how they appear in AI answers, wrapped in a services layer with an embedded strategist and a dedicated CX lead. SearchChamp measures the same surface and then does something about it — the same workspace that finds a citation gap also writes the article, adds the schema, generates the llms.txt, and applies the fix through WordPress. Pick Brandlight if you are an enterprise brand buying a measurement programme with people attached, and SOC 2 Type II is a procurement gate. Pick SearchChamp if you want measurement plus the action layer, on published pricing, starting today.

AI-engine coverage: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Google AI Mode, Microsoft Copilot and Google AI Overviews — all eight on Business and Agency, four on Solo. Prices as of August 2026— verify on each vendor’s site.
What no traditional tool ships.
Multi-engine AI visibility, included
Citation tracking across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Google AI Mode, Microsoft Copilot, and Google AI Overviews — included from $79, not as an add-on. Solo covers four engines and 30 tracked prompts; Business and Agency get all eight, up to 250 tracked prompts.
Verified AI-crawler analytics
See which AI crawlers (Googlebot, GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, GeminiBot) actually fetch your pages — IP/ASN-verified, not inferred from a user-agent string.
llms.txt generator
Auto-generate the structured llms.txt file AI answer engines read — 5-15 sections with ~60-word summaries, regenerated as your content changes.
AI fixes auto-applied via WordPress
The Site Auditor's schema, meta, and technical fixes apply directly through the free WordPress plugin — not a report you fix by hand.
Multi-client at Agency
15 sites, 8 seats, and eight-engine AI Visibility on every client — no separate enterprise tier required.
7 specialist AI agents + Concierge
Keyword Research, Content Writer, Site Auditor, AI Visibility, Brand Voice, llms.txt, and Opportunities run as autonomous agents — coordinated by a Concierge orchestrator.
When to choose Brandlight.
You need consumer-plane measurement beyond ChatGPT and Gemini
Brandlight's own published study is the strongest work anyone has put out on this: 900 unbranded prompts run through both official developer APIs and live consumer interfaces, one day apart, produced 2,565 matched pairs with only 6-12% brand overlap. It is a real finding and it matters. SearchChamp measures ChatGPT and Gemini on the consumer plane; Perplexity, Claude and Grok are official-API, and Copilot and the Google AI surfaces are measured from search results. If consumer-plane fidelity across every engine is your requirement, that is a genuine gap on our side today.
You are buying a programme, not a product
Brandlight engagements include White Glove Support — an embedded AI strategist and a dedicated customer-experience lead. For a brand team that needs the analysis interpreted and turned into a plan by someone else, that services layer is the product. SearchChamp is product-led: agents do the work, with no services layer standing between you and the output.
SOC 2 Type II is a procurement gate
Brandlight badges SOC 2 Type II. SearchChamp is not certified — it is explicitly out of scope for us today, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise. If your security review blocks on that certificate, this is a short conversation and Brandlight passes it.
You want the cited / synthesized / crawled / ignored breakdown today
Brandlight classifies how a page participates in an AI answer across those four states. SearchChamp has the equivalent classification built but not switched on in production, so we show an em-dash rather than claim it. If that breakdown is the reason you are buying, they ship it and we do not.
You want a peer set of large enterprise references
Brandlight raised a $30M Series A in February 2026, and Israeli business daily Calcalist reported that same month that its customers include dozens of Fortune 500 brands. We are not going to list their customers by name on our own marketing page — those are other companies' vendor relationships to disclose, not ours. If your evaluation weights enterprise reference customers, ask them for the list directly; it is a real advantage and they will have it.
When to choose SearchChamp.
Measurement platforms tell you. SearchChamp does it. →
This is the whole difference. Brandlight reports where you stand in AI answers; the work of changing it goes back to your team or your agency. In SearchChamp the same workspace that finds the gap writes the article in your brand voice, generates the schema and the llms.txt, and applies the technical fixes through the WordPress plugin. Measurement is the input, not the deliverable.
Published pricing, and you can start this afternoon →
$79, $179 and $399 a month, listed on the pricing page, with a 7-day trial. Brandlight has no public pricing, no trial and no self-serve tier — every evaluation starts with a demo and a sales cycle. Reported Brandlight price points circulating on aggregator sites contradict each other and are not from Brandlight, so we do not repeat them here.
The rest of the SEO workflow is already in the box
Keyword research, rank tracking, site audit, content writer, brand voice and backlinks live in the same workspace as AI visibility. Brandlight is measurement only, so it sits alongside whatever SEO stack you already pay for rather than replacing any of it.
You can see how the score is calculated
SearchChamp's Prominence Score is 0-100 and the rule behind it is shown to you in the citation detail view: position of the first mention, decaying from the top of the answer to the bottom. We have not found a published formula for the Brandlight Score on their site. A number you cannot reconstruct is difficult to act on and impossible to audit.
Real integrations, not the absence of them
Search Console, GA4, Google Ads, WordPress, Shopify and Slack connect directly, which is what lets AI visibility sit next to actual traffic and conversions. Brandlight names no integrations on its site and positions that as a feature — no connection to internal systems required. That is a legitimate posture for a fast enterprise rollout; it also means the data stays in their dashboard.
Agent-native access, in beta
SearchChamp ships an MCP server — 28 tools behind OAuth with scopes, rate limits, an audit log and a spend cap — so your own agents can read the data and act on it. It is in beta and access is granted per workspace. Brandlight publishes no API documentation, and a reviewer on G2 asks for more granular API control.

How to switch from Brandlight.
01
Export your tracked prompt list
Pull the prompts, brands and competitors you already monitor out of Brandlight. If the export is not self-serve on your contract, your CX lead can produce it. This is the only piece of the migration that depends on them.
02
Recreate the prompt set and choose engines
Add the prompts in SearchChamp's AI Visibility settings and pick your engines — four on Solo, all eight on Business and Agency. Start with ChatGPT and Gemini if consumer-plane fidelity is what you care about most; those are the two we measure on that plane.
03
Connect Search Console, GA4 and run the first site audit
This is the part Brandlight has no equivalent for. Connecting Search Console and GA4 puts AI visibility next to impressions, clicks and key events, and the first site audit surfaces the technical work — schema, metadata, crawlability — that affects whether you get cited at all.
04
Turn the first gap into published work
Train Brand Voice on 5-10 existing posts, then take one prompt where a competitor is cited and you are not, and run it through the Content Writer. Publishing and applying fixes through the WordPress plugin closes the loop that a measurement platform leaves open.
