How we measure

What do you do with a verified, spoofed or unverifiable crawler visit?

A verified crawler visit counts toward your AI crawl coverage and can inform a robots or content decision. A spoofed visit is reported as a security signal and never counted as coverage. An unverifiable visit is shown separately and counted toward neither, because acting on it would mean acting on a guess.

The states are not three shades of the same thing. They drive three different decisions, so they are reported as three different columns rather than one confidence percentage.

Verified is the only state that answers "is this engine reading my pages". Spoofed answers a different question — someone is wearing a crawler’s name — and belongs next to your other abuse signals, not in a coverage chart.

Unverifiable is the state most products hide. We keep it visible because the alternative is choosing which way to be wrong: fold it into verified and coverage is flattered, fold it into spoofed and an attack is invented.
